At the 303rdBG, a big party took place. I remember coming back to the hut at the wee hours in the morning and was just approaching the entrance when I heard a shot. I backtracked to the other entrance and found a guy, drunk as a skunk(the only one in the hut), setting in a chair firing his 45 out the door I first planned to use. A rather large haystack in a field close by had been torched. This went on for about the first 24 hours then then Command took charge. Our base commander decided we should have a full dress parade and we did. Most of us had not drilled for some time so I am sure it was amusing to say the least. He found a bunch of instruments so we even had a band. I played the baratone. Instead of being on the review stand, the Base commander played tuba in the band.

Gentlemen, our 303rdbg talk forum has been silent far to long. We need to find a way to give it a new breath of life. I am not sure how to do that but there must be a way. How about sharing a funny story that you recall happening while at Molesworth or on a trip to London or Cambridge? Or possibly you have a mission related story to share. It was a serious time but we still found time to laugh etc..
As our numbers grow smaller, we need to communicate. After all, we were a proud lot and should remain united as a proud group.
Who will step forward and get the ball rolling?
