Being in Virginia, I consider Cincinnati, OH to be "in the St. Louis area". 
That being said,  consider the 8th Air Force Historical Society Reunion.

The 2009 reunion will be August 18th - 22nd in Cincinnati OH.   In order to 
attend, you need to be a member of
the 8th Air Force Historical Society.  There is only a $30 membership fee
and they have a great quarterly news magazine.
