Hi Linda,

I'm so sorry to hear of Bob's condition.  I am a nephew of Harry Cook, Bob's pilot.  I never met Bob, but a few years ago I wrote him inquiring about the air battle that resulted in their plane being shot down.  Bob responded with a very nice (and detailed) letter describing what he went through that day.  I don't recall if I every sent him a thank you note; if you're able, please thank him for me.

Best regards,

Keith Hastie

My name is Linda Eaglehouse. I am the daughter-in-law of S/Sgt Robert (Bob)
Eaglehouse, 427th BS Gunner shot down August 15, 1944.  He was a POW and
returned home when the war was over.

Bob has suffered a stroke on Easter Sunday and is at Excela
(Latrobe) Hospital, Room 123 in Latrobe, PA.  I am so saddened to say that the
time we have left with Bob is growing very short.  Bob has talked very little
about his time in Germany but I am sure that there are those out there that
still remember him.  He was on Tiny Angel when it was shot down.
