I'm the one that started it.
Jim McCoy is the son of Mel McCoy Engineering Officer for the 444th Subdepot. 
I didn't save his letter but if memory serves me correctly it was he who said 
that his father mentioned to him the presence of several Cheyennes on the base. 
Jim could answer your question. Being in the Air Corps Supply Office didn't give me
too much chance to wander the field. I don't recall ever seeing one BUT I am sure 
they were there.
