Hello again --

        Having been "out of it" for a while, I hope you will all not mind 
going back to a subject a couple of months old: that is, the so called 
Cheyenne Tail Turret.  In Roger Freeman's 1998 publication, "The B-17 Flying 
Fortress Story", he states that (although the assembly appeared on a number 
of earlier aircraft), officially the unit was first included on aircraft 
produced as B-17G-50-DL machines, numbered 44-6251 to 44-6500.  Sorry for 
the delay.
