OH MY GOSH!!! You don't know how much this will mean to us! My mother just
passed away last October and she has one surviving sibling who was in grade
school when her brother was killed in France. Going through all the things
my mother collected (and believe me when I say collected), my Uncle's flag
was found. It was sent over after he was buried and I wanted to get it back
in the biological family. I never got to know him other than the stories my
Mom told me. He was already gone before I was born and later adopted. My
Aunt was very appreciative to receive it and her son is having a special
flag holder made for it. I had also found his last letter that was mailed
to his parents the day before he was killed in action. I think it's very
important to keep these things and the history of the family together. I
know my Aunt was very pleased in my finding the location he was buried as
that information was previously lost. So now, to have a picture of his
headstone will be wonderful. No one in the family has ever seen it. I
can't thank you enough. I have a nephew who was just discharged after seven
years from the Army and three tours in Iraq. I am very proud of all who
serve our country and protect us all. God bless all of you!
Take care,
Karen Budd

I am in the US Air Force stationed in Germany. I visit these cemeteries
often and could take a picture for you.

I would like to find out how I can have a picture of the headstone in place
for my Uncle who was buried at Lorraine American Cemetery. He entered the
service from New Mexico, USA. He died on 12/04/1944, Buried at Plot J, Row
40, Grave 32.
Thanks!
Karen
