Gabe -- I was recruited by the Irgun and Haganah but did not fly  for the IAF.   I had about 10 meetings, 6 in a synagogue but at signing time I didn't like a statement the interrogator said and he didn't like my answer. and it became , don't call me, etc.   10 years later I flew off the coast of Israel  in an USAF C-130 on my way to Lebabon on the 1958 crisis.
