Thanks for the response Maurice!
I don't think I have any Brodrick Crawford or Johhny Desmond shows in my
collection but I have have heard of them. I do have several diffeent
programs especially for the AFRS - Command Performance, One Night Stand etc.
Mostly music orientated shows with the popular bands of the era plus many,
many American broadcasts during the war years - news, comedy, detective,
mystery etc....."Tain't funny McGee!!"

Only the Best,
Guy

The question has probably been answered properly but
procastinator me will insert my thoughts.
We had a radio in the cupply barracks & listened mostly
to AFN. I recall Broderick Crawford and Johnny
Desmond's programs.I also built a crystal set with plans
from the radio group [next door??? & crystal from a shop
in Northammpton] and a head set with no pads. One
could lay the headset on a table and 2-3 people
could listen. Lord Haw Haw was the easiest to find &
sometimes music. Picked up an aircraft just once.
