Hi Hal,
Glad you're still with us and feeling better.  I think my dad had 
nightmares about Oscherselben, too.  It was the only mission he ever 
talked about.  I still get chills reading his journal entry for that 
one.  He notes in his logbook, "We almost had it!"

Every diary or journal is unique.  That's what makes them 
interesting.  That reminds me what Walt Hein, Dad's Ball Turret 
gunner, told me after reading Dad's journal.  He said he saw an 
entirely different war from the ball than Dad did from the cockpit.  
He didn't remember it the same way Dad told it at all.

I will be happy to put any 303rd veteran's mission diary on the 
website -- if it is sent to me transcribed to text.  I cannot put 
them there as graphics and don't have the time to transcribe them 
myself.
