The first page of the diary only says:
 
World War 11 Air Combat Diary. It then says 36 Missions - July 8, 1944 to  
November 6, 1944 - B17.
 
Then it says: First Lieutenant William A. Malone- Navigator - 8th Air  Force
                                                                        303rd 
 Bomb Group ("Hells Angels")
                                                                         
427th Squadron
 
Presented to the United States Air Force Academy Library
Special Collections Branch, May 26, 1993.
 
Thanks for your interest in this diary. When I read it I was so proud of  the 
men and women who served their country, and they are all heroes in my  eyes.
 
Give me a little more time and I will have completely typed the complete  
document. If you get a copy before I am thru typing let me know and post  it.  
There are several people that are interested.
