    YES--We had a radio in the supply barrack. After much use
     it "blew" a valve[tube]--took 3-4 weeks to get it fixed.
    I also built a crystal radio {still have th plans} bought the crystal
    & feeler in Northamton - scrounged head set, coil & antennae wire
     & plans from radio shop.

       Not sure - Think not.

     Johnny Desmond & Broderick Crawford were MCs.

      My mother sent the weekly "rag" to me. Small town paper created
      some good laughs from some of the readers.
     " Joe Smith's cousin stopped by to visit & stayed for Sunday dinner."

       Don't recall of ever seeing the base paper!!.
