DROPPER IT WAS NOT MY FAVORITE AIRCRAFT IN SPITE OF ITS OUTSTANDING RECORD. 
THAT HONOR GOES TO THE DUCHESS. I FIRST HEARD OF IT BEFORE I REPORTED IN TO 
MOLESWORTH.  IT WAS THE AIRCRFT THAT CARRIED JACK MATHIS TO IMMOTALITY.   We 
flew it on its 50th mission to Oschersleben, Jan. 11, 1944.  It carried us 
home in spite of a 20mm found in its gas tank after the mission,  Hal
