Hello,

I'm the one who submitted the sketch. My mother
remembers that the artist's name was "Hightower", but
the only Hightower I find at Stalag Luft 1 was in a
different camp; Marion E Hightower was in camp North
2, while my dad was in camp North 3. Of course, mom's
memory isn't dialed in as tight as it once was....

How likely was it that POWs from different camps might
interact or know each other?

Still a mystery
