[303rd-Talk] Remember Pearl Harbor Tomorrow

Joan,
I wish I could post the pictures, but my parents still have the photos
and we live many miles from each other. Most are still on slides and
16mm movies. The color movies are really astounding. My folks would
like to digitize all of it, but it is too expensive.

Can you post the pictures for us?
I was 7 at the time and raking leaves in our yard in Ohio.
I can still remember how depressed I felt when I heard the news.
It's amazing that it hit me like that when I was so young. I will
never forget that day. My brother enlisted in the air force a year
later
and that's how I know about you people.
I would love to see any pictures you could post for us.
I have not been able to find anyone that knew my brother, yet he is on
your
list along with the flight info.
Thank you so much.

My dad was 12 at the time of the attack on Pearl. He had returned
from
church and was reading the comics in front of the radio. He was too
young to serve during the war but joined the Navy in 46 and served 20
years. We lived in Pearl from 56 - 58 and my folks have incredible
color slides and videos of Hawaii before the tourist boom took off.
We
have pics of the Arizona with turrets and superstructure still
sticking
out of the water. Amazing stuff!!!
