Hello Gentlemen,
My father was a B-17 pilot in the 303rd BG. I have been reading you archive
and found out there is film of him taking off from Battlecreek MI (Kellog
Field) and landing at Molesworth in the UK.
His name was 1lt Oran T. O'Connor and his plane was hellcat 41-24580 358-C
He was shot down Jan. 23 1943. He was captured by the Germans and spent the
rest of the war in a POW camp. He retired as a Lt Col in the Strategic Air
Command in 1963. He just recently passed away at the age of 93. He was a father of
10 children. And the best dad a man could ask for. I would like to find out
how to go about getting a copy of this footage. I am willing to pay for the
cost of the copying as well as the postage. Is there someone who can help me?
Thank you,
Mike O'Connor
