I am convinced that only the first half of this film is actually related to 
the 303rd.  I found the narrative for the original film, which follows very 
closely to the above to approximately half way through, then the film 
completely goes off onto other footage.  The original narrative describes the 
second half of the film as being largely combat footage.  My theory (which is 
a complete guess) has been that Clarke Gable took the combat footage for his 
film, and that somehow unrelated film got mixed in instead.
