[303rd-Talk] High resolution BDA image

I'm sure most of you have seen images of those bomb damage photos taken
during the bomb runs. Even those of you who have some of these photos, may
not be aware of just how much detail is visible in them. I have jpg images of
a few of these photos on my web page, and the 303rdbg.com web page also has
some of these images, but these are all relatively low resolution images that
don't do the originals justice.
I recently had a request from an organization in Germany, that was
preparing a display showing how the town of Kitzingen has been rebuilt and
developed since WWII. I had a photo on my web page showing Kitzingen, but it
was relatively low resolution, so they asked if I could send them a higher
resolution scan. I hadn't done this in the past, since these files are very
large, and I'm connected to the internet via dialup. However I recently found
that a nearby library had high speed internet, so I drove over there, and
uploaded a high resolution image while sitting in the parking lot in my car.
So anyway, for anyone interested, the image is at:

http://wejones.ftdata.com/kitz1200.jpg

It's been scanned at 1200 dpi, and shows amazing detail. I've done some
higher resolution scans of small areas of the photo, and this is pretty close
to the maximum detail possible from the photos, but not quite. The photo was
from the Feb 23 1945 mission.

Note, this is a 32MB file, so it would take a LONG time to download if you
only have a dialup, but should download in a few minutes if you have a high
speed connection. It took me 10 minutes to upload at the library.
