Subject:	Hell's Angels video and three photos found in Eng

Dear Gary,

I came across some questions about the video. Someone thought the
new film on the 303rd I've just finished was just a copy of something
from the National Archives. They may be thinking of the new digital
Target for Today. Hell's Angels: The 303rd in the Battle for Europe
is a new work that I have built using materials from a variety of
places. I wrote the script, used a narrator who comes from the
public radio sector, included clips from some of my interviews with
303rd men, and still photos from the National Archives and private
collections where I generated motions for their use in the film. I
used original music with the rights purchased for this film. I
pieced together some of the 303rd portions of Target for Today for my
section on missions, and generally used footage from a variety of
sources, most of which are in various film records in the National
Archives. All together it is an original piece of work of producing
and editing that is not found anywhere else. I hope you have had
time to watch the copy I sent you and hope you liked it. I have
tentative plans to do a series of interviews in the Molesworth area
in England in late July and early August next summer and plan to do
additional 303rd ground and air crew interviews in the US as well.I
hope to finish up with a new 2007 film on Molesworth, tentatively to
be titled The Molesworth Story. It will be a more comprehensive
story of life at Molesworth and in the villages nearby. The content
will be governed by the interviews yet to be done. Proceeds from the
current film and the Molesworth Story will be used in our non-profit
efforts to add to the research in the East Anglia Air War Project. As
you know, we are on a rapidly decreasing deadline to get done what is
possible in the time we have left. No part of the proceeds have been
diverted for personal gain and no salaries have been paid to anyone,
with the sole exception of the narrator. In fact the 303rd film
(and others) have been possible because of these sales to the public
and some financial contributions made by myself and others who
believe in the Project, together with some support from the
Department of History in the form of mailing services and some travel
expenses. Please spread the news around whenever you can. And
thanks for your assistance in what we have done so far.

I was going through some images I copied in England in June 2005 and
discovered that I had forgotten that three of them were of a 303rd
wreck located just north of Bedford. The British man who had these
took me out to the meadow area where the crash occurred. He
remembered the event as a young boy. I thought you might like to
have copies of them. You may already have them, but just in
case.....I am sending them in three separate emails. Here is the
first.

Best wishes for the holidays,

Vernon
