As I recall, we were discouraged from keeping a journal at Molesworth when I was there . At least I didn't keep one and I think I would have if encouraged.

If I remeber reading a long time ago, Officers were encouraged to keep journals for various reasons but that they were to turn them in to OS - intelligence and then sent back to them at wars end.
